HP introduced Latest Touch screen Mini PC

HP introduced the Mini 5102 is one of three notebooks that launched in advance of CES features, multi-touch display and up to 10 hours of battery life. Hewlett-Packard freshly discovers its first mini-laptop with a touch screen that enables people to use two fingers to steer through applications and the Web. The Mini 5102 is one of three notebooks HP introduced before the opening of International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The other two notebooks are: - the Mini 210 and the Mini 2102 do not have touch screens, but like as Mini 5102. Mini 210 and the Mini 2102 includes Intel latest Atom processor and Windows 7 OS. All notebooks have 10.1-inch screens and weigh up below three pounds. The touch screen Mini 5102 features an optional handle for easy to carrying and is designed more headed for professionals and students. The touch screen enables the use of multi-touch finger taps, and swipes across the screen to navigate through applications and Web sites.

The notebook also has a touchpad and a keyboard (95% of standard size). Mini 5102 run on Intel's Atom N450, which provides longer battery life than the earlier generation of the processor. The mini-laptop is available with a four-cell battery. The customers can also chose a six-cell battery that approximately doubles the battery life to up to 10 hours. The Mini 5102 includes 2-megapixel Web cam.

The starting price of new mini-notebook is around 399USD. Lenovo also introduced Idea Pad S10-3t convertible notebook. This has a 10.2-inch screen that can swivel 180 degrees. It also fold up over to be used as touch tablet. The starting price of Idea Pad S10-3t is 500 USD. HP Mini 210 and Mini 2102 are more fashionable than the 5102 to be more attractive to consumers. The mini-laptops carry more than 9 hours of battery life and are offered with optional 3G mobile broadband connectivity.
